Chaniya´s greatest passion is hunting and sniffing. So that it doesn´t get out of control, we started early with the “preydummy” work. On our daily walks the “prey” is always with us. In  submission,  activity, flyball or other games, she always gets her awarded out of the preydummy.

In summer 2008 we started with the track work and this gives her a lot of thrills. There she doesn´t even take care of the droppings from deer or hare, which normally represent a welcome treat for her or at least invites to roll in it.

Tracking meeting in Neuenrade, 05. + 06.03.16

This weekend we met Martin Rodzoch and other nice people to track. We began with snow but later it stopped and and it became warmer. It was not quite simply for our good noses.

Chaniya trembled cause it was so cold. Nevertheless she was very motivated, at the objects she didn´t sit down properly....why: it´s dreadfully in the wet cold grass...typical!

It was raining cats and dogs and we met Martin to track with him. It was very difficult for her but she has mastered all corners, has found all objects und we have reached the end, well done!

Track-workshop at the DVG Neheim-Hüsten, 07.03.15

On the Saturday the DVG Neheim-Hüsten organized a track-workshop under the leading of Martin Rodzoch, who is himself number two at the district- and province-championship and number 11 at the federal-championship.

It was a great event and we had a lot of fun.

Who can resist this weather...? In the morning by 0°C the track was laid and 3 hours later by over 10°C it was searched. It was always a challenge. Nevertheless she has done her work very good. She has found, till one, all objects and hasn`t followed the inducement........gooooood girl!

The field was very dry, but you also don`t know, how the composition of the ground at an examination is. So: Let´s go. Then the joy to find the jackpot at the end of the track ist great!

Tracking workshop in Meppen, January 2014

From 01. - 05. January the DVG Meppen organized a tracking workshop on which I took part with both "girls". Evryone joined in, from puppies to adult, no matter which breed. In the morning at 8.30 we met in the association room and then we drove in the fields, at lunchtime we had 1 h halftime and afterwards we drove again in the fields to sniffing. In the evenings we still had some talks of the different advisers, who also stood by our side the whole days.

These were wonderful days with great dogs and very nice people!

Track-search on a stubble-field, August 2013

....more stubbles than field...., on the first side Chaniya had some difficulties to search, especially the neighbours dog at the fence, about 5 m removed from us, was "loudly protested"

Easter-Monday 2013

Not exactly the best conditions for a track-search: strong eastwind, deficit temperatures and meadows which are anything as juicy. Nevertheless we have tried it.

Also in the snow Chaniya has a lot of fun to do her favorite employment. Because she has a small injury at the paw she doesn´t may run and rave a lot this time, so she is as least after doing her work compensated and contendet!

Examination at the SV Hüsten-Ost, 25.04.15

Today Chaniya passed her examination FH2. Cause the underground was very difficult, someone wasted there the compost and left-over foods and it was raining very strong, she had many problems.

We experienced a nasty surprise at the track examination: All departure-sticks were put out and two other tracklayer used this ground to train. After that we decided to cancel this test.

Examination at the SV Arnsberg, 27.09.14

Unfortunately Chaniya hasn´t passed this FH1 examination. It started very well, she searched all sides, noted all objects, until the lending came...in which she ran in. Normal you lay it from side to side, but this lending was cross to the corner and so she was very irritated. That means: the end!

Novembre-examination at the SV Arnsberg, 09.11.13

Since today Chaniya is now a track-dog, she passed her first track-dog examination.

Today Chaniya passed her third track-examination with 90 points. The judge, Mr. Rapien, said, that she had an excellent track-performance. Because she could not decide, whether she should expel the objects in the seat or standing position, the last one she even took up, it was a very good.

Well, so it is: if the meadows or fields to wet (it has rained out of buckets) then we don´t sit up, the bottom could become wet.....You can call it disobedience.....I say typical Ridgeback

Track-examination in Lippetal, 21.09.2013

Today Chaniya passed her second track-examination at the dogsport-club in Lippetal with 81 points. If had not been so sceptical when she had stopped around the object to refer, we would got 10 points more.... but no .... I gave her the sign to go on....

What tells me this: Trust simply your dog! Not the dogs, but I must still learn quite a lot!

Endurance-examination in Kaarst, 21.10.12

On Sunday the club for dogsports Büttgen-Vorst e.V. had invited to an endurance-examination in cooperation with the Ridgeback Club E.L.S.A.

12 Ridgebacks were registered, of them 2 bitches, who were into their heat, both had to run at the end of the group, so that they couldn´t bring the "men" out of control........, also Chaniya.

We had to get over a distance about 20 km, it was divided in to 3 parts, 8, 7 and 5 km. We had to drive a speed about 15 km/h. In the breaks of 15 and 20 min. a veterinarian checked the dogs; the paws were controlled, the pulse was competed and the heart was monitored. All the dogs were topfit!

After that they had to do a little subordination-exam, however that was also no problem, so all dogs had existed.

First track-examination, 28. April 2012

On Saturday, 28. April 2012, Chaniya passed her first track-examination. We had a lot of fun. On the track she was very sure and concentrate, she also searched the corners perfect but at the objects she had a few difficulties, no premonition why.

The terrain was real good as well a lot of great field rabbits went wild before on this.

This just puts out the sport with another living being, whether dog or horse, then both must "function" on the point and that doesn´t always clap to 100%, but this is also the special charm on it.

Coursing in Gelsenkirchen at the greyhound station Emscherbruch, 02.11.14

At spring-like temperatures we started today at the coursing on the sand racetrack. After Chaniya heard the engine noise of the tractor, already everything was said. Although she is no longer the youngest in this sport, but because she has not lost the interest in it, I begrudge her this fun. After 2 rounds of each 280 m, she came on the 12th place, not bad for an old lady!

Today at summery temperatures Chaniya took part at the coursing. She had a lot of fun, when she heard the motor of the quad and saw the rabbit she was out of control!

Coursing in Hünstetten (8. place)

At the 03. September 2011 we might spend a wonderful day in Hünstetten on the greyhound racecourse, the Club E.L.S.A. had invited to the coursing there.

With sunshine at 30°C about 25 Ridgebacks ran for the front places on this very nice park.

Also Chaniya has given everything, how you can see at the pictures but on the last metres her condition wasn´t sufficient, nevertheless I was very proudly

Well, the last 3/4 year was more than strenuous for her....

breeding-examination in Unna, 06.06.2010

Chaniya passed her breeding examination in Unna on 6. June 2010 and is allowed for breeding without limitations.

The overall impression was: feminine bitch of lighter type, friendly and accessible.
